AEP Subsidiary Public Service Company Of Oklahoma To Redeem Senior Notes

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 28, 2011 – Public Service Company of Oklahoma, a public utility subsidiary of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), today announced that on Feb. 28, 2011, it will redeem the entire outstanding $200 million principal amount of unsecured 6.0 percent Senior Notes, Series B, due 2032, at a redemption price equal to 100 percent of the principal amount, plus accrued interest thereon to the date of redemption.

Notice of the redemption is expected to be mailed Jan. 28, 2011. The redemption is in accordance with the terms of the indenture under which the Senior Notes were issued.

The Bank of New York Mellon is the redemption agent and trustee.
