Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) announces the completion of an infrastructure project aimed at improving power reliability for the communities of Chelsea and Foyil. This project, part of the Distribution Automation Circuit Recovery (DACR) program, involved upgrading and rebuilding power lines between Chelsea and Nowata, which will provide an additional source of power even when outages occur on other lines.

Complete restoration has been achieved for PSO customers across Oklahoma effected by the March 14^th wind event. Customer outages peaked at 25,663 Friday afternoon and were 95% restored by 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Complete restoration was achieved Saturday by 5 p.m. 

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) announces that the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) has issued a final order approving a settlement reached in its rate review late last year.  

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) received the Emergency Response Award, one of the highest accolades in the electric utility industry, from the Edison Electric Institute (EEI) for its exemplary response to the Barnsdall Tornado of May 2024.

The Blackwell Youth Center (BYS) in Blackwell, Oklahoma is receiving a $10,000 American Electric Power Foundation grant to help the non-profit continue its mission of providing a safe haven for local children to grow and learn. The AEP Foundation made this grant at the recommendation of Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), a Tulsa-based electric provider. 

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) is partnering with the Cherokee Nation to help provide thousands of free lightbulbs to families in need. The partnership represents an extension of PSO’s Shine A Light program, which works with dozens of area food pantries to distribute lightbulbs to struggling families across the state.  

Approximately 380 Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) workers and contractors are on their way to assist Tampa Electric as well as Florida Power and Light (FPL) as Hurricane Milton moves toward Florida’s west coast. 

PSO crews were released Sunday by Appalachian Power Company (APCO) following their massive effort to bring the lights back on for 282,000 customers in Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee.

Approximately 85 Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) workers are on their way to assist Florida Power and Light (FPL) as Hurricane Helene continues moving towards Florida.
