PSO Announces AEP Teacher Vision Grants to 23 Public School Projects

The 24 American Electric Power (AEP) Teacher Vision grants to Oklahoma public school teachers total nearly $8,000. Ranging from $100 to $500, the grants are designed to make creative projects possible for Pre-K through grade 12 teachers.

Applications Open for FFA STEM After-School Grants from PSO Foundation

This fall, Oklahoma FFA chapters will have the opportunity to turn their STEM ideas into reality because of a $45,000 grant by the Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) Foundation to the Oklahoma FFA Foundation. Oklahoma FFA chapters located in areas served by PSO can now apply to the Oklahoma FFA Foundation for a STEM After-School grant.

PSO Completes Infrastructure Project to Enhance Power Reliability in Rogers County

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) announces the completion of an infrastructure project aimed at improving power reliability for the communities of Chelsea and Foyil. This project, part of the Distribution Automation Circuit Recovery (DACR) program, involved upgrading and rebuilding power lines between Chelsea and Nowata, which will provide an additional source of power even when outages occur on other lines.

PSO Thanks Customers for Patience During March 14 Wind Event

Complete restoration has been achieved for PSO customers across Oklahoma effected by the March 14th wind event. Customer outages peaked at 25,663 Friday afternoon and were 95% restored by 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Complete restoration was achieved Saturday by 5 p.m.

Blackwell Youth Center Receives $10,000 AEP Foundation Grant

The Blackwell Youth Center (BYS) in Blackwell, Oklahoma is receiving a $10,000 American Electric Power Foundation grant to help the non-profit continue its mission of providing a safe haven for local children to grow and learn. The AEP Foundation made this grant at the recommendation of Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), a Tulsa-based electric provider.

PSO Shine A Light Program Partners with Cherokee Nation to Distribute Free Lightbulbs

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) is partnering with the Cherokee Nation to help provide thousands of free lightbulbs to families in need. The partnership represents an extension of PSO’s Shine A Light program, which works with dozens of area food pantries to distribute lightbulbs to struggling families across the state.
