Indiana Michigan Power’s Cook Plant Unit 1 Back On-Line Following Planned Maintenance Outage

BRIDGMAN, Mich., March 18, 2011 – Indiana Michigan Power’s Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 was brought back on-line yesterday at 10:52 p.m. after a planned outage to perform maintenance on the unit’s main generator. The total duration of the outage was 5 days, 20 hours.

At full capacity, the 1,030-net MW Unit 1 and 1,077-net MW Unit 2 combined produce enough electricity for more than one and one half million average homes.
